  • Was the splash screen necessary?

For me and for many pilot you’re the keepers of our times and a very important tool. But please revisit a physical paper logbook. Please look at its simplicity as you turn the page. Simple, black and white, doesn’t say anything but what you put in it. Now look at your app. Press the icon and get tossed into a promo of your company and a loading screen. Then wait for entries to populate as they load from iCloud and settled down. Okay, let’s enter some times. There’s something annoying about the process of loading times. There’s something incredible about your app. Don’t ruin the incredible app.
  • Overpriced and full of bugs

    By chrisvika
I don’t mind developers charging for a product, after all it’s a lot of work to build a good app. It’s therefor particularly disappointing when the iCloud sync doesn’t backup all flights (my logbook is out by 150 hours across devices), the sync sometimes breaks down (so you have to restart and re-sync), it’s not very intuitive to add new airplanes and people (have to close app and reopen for changes to take effect). This is a very overpriced product that’s very poorly developed. I’ve used this app for years but now I’ve run out of patience with it. I’m going back to my trusted paper logbook.
  • Stay away

I bought this software a few years ago. Back when they sold a durable (I thought) license to the software. Since then they switched to a unbelievably expensive monthly subscription plan. They have stopped supporting the one time purchase software to the Point that is is becoming unusable. So I am now forced to either change programs or pay the monthly bill. I have been offered a discount on the new version but the point is I paid for a fully paid up license, not a monthly subscription. Paper logbooks are looking pretty good right now...
  • My last logbook!

I've only been using LogTen Pro X for 2 months now, but I simply love the product. Coming from the military side and using paper logbooks for the past 22 years LogTen Pro X is proving to be the wisest investment of my post military career. I was initially using ForeFlight but was not happy with that product. When my CFI mentioned he uses LogTen Pro X I gave a try and have not looked back ever since. It took a while to hand jam all my hours (3 full logbook) but now that I have, it's made my life so much better. I've barely scratched the surface on it capabilities but what I've used thus far is amazing. Best part, I had an issue with the report not providing accurate information, so I contacted their support desk and they resolved it in a flash. Thanks Nicho!!!!
  • Great interface. Sync feature is its weak point.

I have been using LogTen for a couple years now. Once you set it up how you like, entries are quick and easy on the iPad/iPhone. However the iCloud sync feature has caused me many headaches over the years. Several times now I have had to troubleshoot iCloud syncing issues. My current issue is that my iPad will not sync and my mac says it has synced but doesn't reflect the new entries that I've created on my iPhone. I'm currently deleting and reinstalling it on my iPad and then I'll deal with my mac.. this is frustrating because it takes a lot of time to go through and verify that I did not lose an entry that I may have created on my iPad that didn't sync to my other devices. I have had to do something similar to this a couple times since I've started LogTen. I wish they would add a sync now button or a pull down to sync/refresh feature. Other than that it's a great app even though it's one of the more expensive options.
  • My go to logbook...

I've been using Coridine's product for several years now. I find that it works extremely well for my needs. I'm a commercial pilot that flies privately. I log 250+ hours per year and every one of them is detailed in LogTenPro on an iPhone 7. I also use the software on an iPad. I keep details of the flight times, flight conditions, passengers, approaches, business use, training flights, etc. I have always found the product to be reliable and stable. I've also been very happy with the ability to customize data fields and the UI. I've had a couple of issues synching over the years but the Coridine support team have always been able to quickly solve my problem. Most importantly, I have NEVER lost any data. I'm a die hard Apple user and in my opinion, there's no better log book on Apple iOS. In fact, I'm also a die hard Foreflight user and even though the Foreflight log book is now bundled and data can be imported to it, there's no way I'm switching.
  • Fallen behind competitors

I have been using this product on Mac and iOS for two years. I have had consistent problems syncing my logbook between different platforms, the logbook on the Mac keeps falling out of date, random flights don't update, tail numbers duplicate for no reason, etc. Customer support is very quick to respond, though rarely with effective solutions. I'm particularly unhappy that schedule importing is free in my Mac, but I'd have to pay a third party for it to work on my iOS app--that's on top of the subscription. My suggestion: move along. I'm going to when my subscription is up.
  • Great Log Book

    By T-Prech
Outstanding logbook program. Very easy to import old digital logbooks and easy to input daily flight data. It's price is comparable to other logbook platforms and it is much more capable than other platforms making it a huge value.
  • Ridiculous subscription

    By Poynter32
I have been a custom of log ten since 2005. The software has been great and the ability to upgrade when I felt like the features would be of value, which was most of the time. However, the new subscription model is absolutely ridiculous. To pay $100 a year just to be able to use software that does not change or have any information that the company must constantly update such as maps or airport data like foreflight is absurd. I use to recommend logten to all the instructors I work with and all of the students where I work, which is in excess of 400, especially bc of the ability to sign flights, but I will now be finding a new logbook to use and recommend.
  • The Developers need to support early adopters

    By Jdcorbitt3
I was one of the early adopters of this app and paid $100 for it which was a lot of money compared to the competition. They implied We would never have to pay a subscription which is why I bought this app. Now, it looks like they aren't going to support iOS 11 with the original app. There is a perpetual bank of new pilots coming into the industry. Take a little form a lot of people as opposed to a lot from a few. ForeFlight has a built in log book that I am recommending to all new pilots. Their subscription offers a lot more than a LogTen can. With That Said I still went to the subscription program, because I have not found a Logbook app that works as well, but when I do, I will switch immediately, unless they come down to some reasonable rate.
