Description

Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. The diversity of learning techniques is great. Here is a summary: Hear it, say it, select it, put the syllables in order, spell it, use it in a sentence, hear it and spell it from its place in the sentence. So many many lessons! Section one and two have chapters divided primarily in lessons of threes a- introduces topic, b- more into that topic, c- review all of that topic. Each lesson section gives maybe 9-12 words, some easy, some not. Section one and two have almost 50 lessons. Then there are the “words and sentences”, “grammar”, etc. Over 20 subjects, each having 10-15 lessons. They are no where near as well-covered. It’s harder to learn without the depth of the main chapters. I tried to mix it in as I studied the main chapters, but I still have so far to go with these. I subsidize this with an app called Indonesian Dictionary by Ithinkdiff. I put these words in their bookmarks and play games with them. By the time I complete this course, I will be able to communicate on many subjects and be understood. Even with where I am, I could figure some good conversations out. I’m going to continue and pay monthly. I passed my initial payment time period. If all I did were the primary lessons and not put time into the less covered words, I could have completed that much before running out of money.

Free to download but those pesky “in - app” charges? Yah $11 PER MONTH. No thank you and deleted immediately.
  • Great app and methodology. Needs iPhone X support.

Duolingo is a great app. But Babbel breaks down the nuances and details of the language your learning in more understandable detail and not really difficult. Found the subscription very worth it. My only issue is that the app is not optimized for iPhone X. Aside from this, it’s a great service I’d highly recommend as a mid grade service between Duo and Rosetta Stone.

The app is good, but has major issues with the voice recognition.. it rarely works. DuoLingo’s voice recognition works much, much better.. Babble as a paid app has much more in-depth content. Just needs some tweaking

I was attracted to this app/website because I’ve Seen on ads that it can teach you a language in just 3 weeks. That’s great but I didn’t stay long enough to find out. Why didn’t I stay to find out you may ask? First off, it was so boring, it was like I was taking an online test, the whole set up is just boring, I’m 12 yrs old and in my opinion this just lacked flavor, I stopped after the first lesson. You could learn a few things from Duolingo, that’s an app that appeals to all ages in my opinion and deserves a lot more attention than it gets, more attention that your app I’m sorry to say. It’s not too late to change though, I’ll be back to check this app out some time later and write a review if there changes that I pointed out. Btw, check out Christopherbrown0317’s review, he made some valid points that are similar to mine, he is absolutely right, and btw Christopherbrown0317 if you see this, reply, that would be cool 😁

Es un excelente servicio para aprender hablar inglés sobre todo en la parte gramatical la única queja que tengo es que en la aplicación móvil el teclado aún le falta muchas veces se equivoca al escribir y al momento de borrar elimina letras demás

Have a subscription, but can’t sign in. Tried sending a “forgot password” message which has failed. Was my error creating the account through the App Store?
