Track how much you and your family use your phone and tablet each day, automatically • See what apps you use the most too! Moment is the first and only app on the App Store to do this. • Set daily limits on yourself and find a balance for the screens in your life. Moment Family • Monitor all of your family member’s screen time too. - Look at your entire family’s day from the comfort of your own device. • Start screen-free family dinner time, which means for the next 60 minutes, every time a person in your family picks up their phone or tablet, an annoying alert will go off and everyone will hear it. How embarrassing! - You can decide how long each family dinner time will last. - Everyone in your family can start family dinner time, including your children. - Schedule it for the same time every day. • Change a family member’s daily limit and force them to put down their phone when they’re over that limit. The Highlights • Tracks how much you use your phone or tablet automatically. • Keeps track of what apps you use the most almost automatically (iPhone only). • Trains you with the Coach to use your phone less, if that’s your goal. • Logs how many times you pick up your phone each day. • Force yourself off your device when you’re over your limit, and force your family members to do the same. • Break down each day to see when you’re on your device and what apps you’re using. • Tracks where you go each day, and have it plotted on a map. • Invisible app. Once you set it up and as long as the app is running in the background, you never have to open it again. • Choose from 6 relaxing reminder sounds and 6 intense sounds for your daily limit reminders. Apple Watch • Quickly see how long you and your family have used your phone today. - You’ll see a colorful icon for each one of your family members on your glance. Green means well under their daily limit, yellow means getting close, and red screams they went overboard. • No, the app doesn’t track how long you spend looking at your watch. Warning to parents: Moment is not strictly about parental control. Using Moment Family as a parent gives you certain powers, but your children have power too. • If your daughter notices you on your phone while you’re supposed to be watching a family movie together, she can start family dinner time for the entire family until the movie is over. That means no one can pick up their phone, and you as the parent can’t turn that family dinner time off. • Your entire family can see everyone else’s screen time for the day from the family scoreboard. You can see if your son is over his limit for the day, and he can see if you are over yours! Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Moment has been designed to use GPS sparingly.

  • Inaccurate Screentime

It counts minutes on your screen time when you are listening to a Podcast in the car. If you don’t shut your screen off it counts time towards your daily goal. I go way over for these reasons.
  • Everyone needs this app !!

So glad to have found this app!! Pretty scary to realize just how much time is wasted on this thing we call a phone, it’s everything but that. This app is what everyone should have to understand the addiction we’ve developed. Has absolutely helped me become more aware and reduce the habit of ‘checking’ my phone. This is a must have and should be advertised as much as possible !! I tell everyone in my practice to try it for a week, all have been enlightened, congrats and good luck to the designers of Moment !!!
  • Perfect for me

    By $naks
I always had a problem checking my phone because I was impulsive about making sure my notifications were clear. Moment has worked so well for me because I’ve become impulsive about keeping my phone time and pickups low.

  • Knowledge is power!

    By jaiholover
The genius of this app is the way it gently helps you learn how you are REALLY spending time w/yr phone and helps you consider if that’s what you want. Also the setting that kicks you off the phone by being totally annoying at a time you set is brilliant.Yes, you have to take the initiative yourself but this is a great tool.DO use the screen-free zone function. It’s transforming my relationship w/ my phone at night.
  • Moment Improvements! Suggestions/bugs

    By Matthew------1
Hello! I use this app everyday, and I have found it helpful for reducing my time on my phone! By hours. Here are some developer suggestions/ bugs First, at the moment, if I spend a large amount of time on my phone before and through midnight, the app doesn’t continues the number of hours I spent on my phone into the next day. (IE I spend 1 hour 30 minutes on my phone from 11pm to 12:30 am, the moment app lists that hour and thirty minutes on day 2, rather than only the 30 minutes after midnight on day 2. Second, I would like to see a moment driving mode. For long drives, I often use Waze or google maps to direct me, but even though my phone is on, I am not actively using it. Would be helpful to pause the moment on the phone, and not have alerts during driving/ rack up the hours. I know I could turn off the moment app, and that might be the best solution, but I think there is a need because many use their phones as a navigation system.
  • Not true

    By Jessica Lange80
It’s not true that the app tell the time wasting on another apps like instagram or whatsapp as advertised in the itunes screenshots. Also at the begining it didn’t work for ios11. Totally disappointed.
  • Not What I Want

    By LanTok
I would like to decrease my screen time, but this isn’t helping. Because of Apple security protocols, it’s difficult to get detailed information on individual app times. Moments has become a nagging nanny. I decided to delete it.
