  • Good app but could use further development

It's a good app that is really the only option in its space, and the social aspects of the app now making it irreplaceable, i.e., lots of user comments and insights about different spots on the AT. What the app desperately needs to significant investment to improve the user interface, make it faster, more stable, etc.

This app is the best thing I take on my AT hikes. I was pleasantly surprised at how accurately it showed my location and the distances to campgrounds, water sources, etc. Also a great tool for planning.
  • App Keeps Crashing!

Generally, I love this app but the current version crashes a lot!
  • Amazing!

This app is truely amazing. It is the trillest.
  • iPhone 7+ Experience

The app is awesome but can be a little clunky when creating trails. The info at least for the Florida trail was good. It did crash a few times not good during trail creation.
  • From “Following Walkers Way”.

Great on AT & Ocala Portion of FT. Using Again in spring on AT & in August on JMT. Extremely valuable tool for me. TW

Did a little hiking . The app is a great addition to our maps . I would suggest Guthook to anyone it has a lot of info about all the things you will find while hiking the trails that are available on the app

Used your AT Guide for my 2017 thru-hike and plan on using your PCT guide for 2018 thru-hike. Thanks!
  • Great app but still room for improvement

Let me start by saying this app will get you through the entire AT without trouble. The only thing I would change would be to add the ability to create custom waypoints to save on your adventure. This is mostly because there were lots of camping and water supplies we came across that were not listed that will could be hard to find again when trying to go back and visit favorite spots on the trail. Another instance I could see it helping would be when you come across areas that are reroutes around bridge washouts or Bees nests. Even without this ability, this is still very much worth the cost of the maps.
