  • Great but...add a search option

A search function would make this app wonderful. Most of the recipes I’ve made are good. The app is user friendly and easy to navigate. Although it would be better if I could do a search for specific items like chicken, lasagna. It’s cumbersome to say the least trying to go though weeks and weeks of recipes to find what you’re looking for.

$60 up front not monthly, recipes are not sectioned correctly but more like sporadically... I won’t say that it’s not worth the money but it’s not exactly worth 60 per year but maybe 30 simply because it’s constantly just repeating the same recipes over and over again the recipes are not organized whatsoever to the category that you chose... For some people they may not seem like a huge deal if you’re just looking for recipes to cook up and not caring what is that you’re looking in for, but I was in a diabetic area it was constantly hurting and potatoes sugar honey things they can’t have is being put into their recipes over and over again... The kid section does seem to be mostly like kid stuff like mac & cheese and sliders little kids types of food that usually don’t go wrong but they also have other plans that have recipes I do not belong in that category in there... this app really needs to be gone through and checked and re-organized I also do not understand why it only works as an app I have never gotten to work on the computer using their website you have to download the app or it doesn’t run right which is very frustrating.

At first I didn’t think this would work for me, and I wasn’t going to continue the service, but once my local Walmart started grocery pick-up this app has become a game changer!!! I still shop Costco for my meats and other household items, but the shopping list transfer is invaluable! The reason for the 4 star rating as follows: • I would love for more recipes to include a picture. Having teens in the house, I’m more likely to get a “yes, let’s try that” based on the pic. • I would love to be able to print the recipe from the app. Again, having teens (let’s add in the hubs too) it would be so much easier if I could leave the printed recipe on the counter so someone else can start dinner. • I would love to see Urvashi Pitre’s recipes included down my the Paula Deen/Good Housekeeping section , so I can easily order the ingredients for her recipes as well! In case you don’t know who she is, she has several instapot* and air fryer cookbooks. Her stuff is tested and DELICIOUS!!! *honestly you don’t even need an instapot, I can do a lot of her recipes in a brasier.
  • No customer service! Money grab scheme. Reviews are fake.

I’ve never had a single phone call answered and you HAVE TO CALL TO CANCEL. It just makes you wait forever and then hangs up on you automatically and there is no way to leave a message! You cannot cancel any other way. So I got charged $99.98 for an app that has not saved me money and never has recipes I actually want to make. When you call it doesn’t have any information about phone hours and doesn’t tell you where in the waiting queue you’re at. It just has the MOST ANNOYING message playing over and over again. They just want your money. I’d recommend for anyone trying to cancel to just dispute it through your card company because this is a terrible money grab. You can literally Google recipes.
  • Great concept

There are not a lot of recipes to choose from. I can find the recipes online for no cost. Great concept but it just doesn’t do enough for me to pay for.

So far I’m enjoying the recipes. Having a shopping list automatically generated is definitely helpful. Here are a couple of things that would improve the app, in my opinion. 1. I’d like to add notes to recipes. I almost always make adjustments and there’s no way to add my own notes. 2. Make it easy to adjust the size of a recipe. Although I’m mostly cooking for 2, we do have guests sometimes. Some of the convenience is lost if I have to make my own adjustments to the recipes and shopping list. If these improvements were made, I’d consider staying on after the free trial. Oh, and an app for my Amazon Fire tablet. That’s what I use in the kitchen.
  • Too bad you can't edit and save

I tried this for a week and a half in the free trial. The shopping list ease is great. But not every recipe is going to be to your family's liking. I asked if there is a way to make notes on a recipe & save it to you favorites, but there is not. I was also disappointing to see that when the week changes over, any recipes you'd added are now gone. So here I am with ingredients for 2 more meals and the recipes I thought were saved are gone.
