Connecting to the Internet in the parks: Without a strong Internet signal, wait times, park hours and schedules may not update accurately. You can see if your device is connected properly by checking under Settings. Note: Some features in this app will require your full name, country, birthdate and email address, as well as access to your location data. If Bluetooth is enabled on your device, this app will also collect your precise location information through beacon technology in order to improve your in-park experience, such as wait times. To facilitate the sign-in process, the app will also require access to your email address, stored within Account Manager. This app will request access to your camera to scan credit cards for purchases, link tickets and passes to your account, and scan and link PhotoPass cards. The app will request access to your external storage to cache certain data for offline browsing. The app will request access to your contacts to assign purchased PhotoPass images to your contacts. Optional planning tools may also ask you to provide details about your travel party. Some features in this app include the ability to make purchases and will require a Wi-Fi or mobile carrier data connection. Guests must be 18 years or older to make purchases.     This app takes about 5 minutes to load on an iPhone X. The touch response is almost non-existent. I spent 10 minutes trying to get a fast pass. Nothing loads and touch response doesn’t happen. It’s like it reverted back to 1995 trying to load a website on AOL. This is unacceptable for Disney standards and you should be ashamed. Bigger piece of crap than that John Carter movie.

    Are you kidding? At the (ever rising) prices Disney charges for the privilege of visiting their theme parks, this is the best that they can do? Really? A multiple-billion dollar international corporation that does no better than this in 2018? Embarrassing. This app is sluggish in processing and delivering data and makes choosing and changing FastPass + selections (one of the few justifications for its very existence) annoyingly cumbersome. How about simply returning to the main menu when buried deep in the application? Nope. Back, back, back, back. For an entire week, everyone in our party struggled with this catastrophe, using Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, as well as Disney’s own WI-FI network. The crashes, the stalls, the utterly inaccurate wait times—all of it—are due to faulty and sloppy software, not coverage issues. Anyone who rated this app above three stars is simply freebasing Pixie Dust. As with its websites, Disney has offered here a substandard tech solution, pretty in its layout and design (lots of cute characters and Mickey heads), but horrible in its usefulness, responsiveness, and practicality. Boo.
