Description

Polish your music, fix it in the mix. 7 band equalizer and compressor. Audio unit extension (use it as plugin). Normalize. Render to file. Share songs via AudioShare and 'Open in' both import and export. Remaster sports the best 7 band parametric equalizer. It is fully multitouch enabled. ***** Rated as a Killer App by Apps4iDevices ***** Remaster is a tool to rework your songs, loops and recordings. Currently a seven band equalizer can be employed, including a toggle to normalize the sound or not. The latest addition to our effects line is a compressor inspired from our Compressor app. The feature set always grows over time. Audio unit extension support. Use our eq technology as plugin in many hosts, like MTS, Cubasis, Ferrite, AUM, Aurio and others. The equalizer is a seven band parametric equalizer with full visual as well as text entry control for all three parameters: gain, center frequency and q. The compressor is a standard volume compressor with attack and release settings as well as threshold and compress ratio. Both compressor and equalizer have a number of presets available to get you started and you can save your own presets as you create them. Processing is done in 64 bit and has a sophisticated dither function as final step to prevent quantization errors. Dithering can be disabled to improve processing speed. We removed all in-app purchases. KNOWN ISSUES No known issues If you have anymore questions, please contact us at: www.audioforge.ca or http://audioforge.uservoice.com/

  • Crashes upon opening

I cannot open the app anymore, it crashes before the splashscreen disappears. Before this issue started happening, none of the files I previously could play would load, no audio would come of them. Thoroughly broken, this update is hardly an upgrade to an app that worked fine before.
  • The new Sept. 2018 update makes this app a serious contender...

First off, I use iOS for music production, so when I bought this app over a year ago I wasn’t interested in any of the iTunes/Apple Music pre-recorded EQ uses that the app advertised. I was excited for the AU functionality and the ability to use multiple instances on a project. I was really disappointed as the app just wasn’t what I hoped it would be, and when no updates came for months I figured it was abandonware. When I saw this new update available I was skeptical but gave it a go, and now Remaster is another app entirely. The EQ works very well plus there’s a stand-alone mode to add compression and dither for rendering “masters” of recordings imported. The cloud integration is tremendous as Microsoft OneDrive, Box, Google Drive and DropBox are supported. I wish more devs were like AudioForge and would go back to their catalog apps and try to perfect them as tech gets better and the experience level of the team grow over time. It sends a good message to consumers that they won’t be left with a broken, unusable app while the same company tries to sell them on a new app. Thank you AudioForge...Recommended.
  • AUv3 version broken

This plugin will crash your DAW if you load it as AUv3. IAA and Audiobus work okay. The EQ bands are not selectable as other than peak/notch functions, which is a usual parametric EQ, but high and low shelf would be good too. This was an early adopter of AUv3 standard, but now there are much better options for an AUv3 EQ available for iOS.
  • Stand alone works great but AU locks up.

I love remaster but the audio unit version completely locks up every DAW. The standalone app works great but there is a bug causing it to lock up in all of the iOS DAW apps please fix it because I have projects I am locked out of because they will not load! Inter app audio version works but the Audio Unit version is broken. Remaster is a great app the AU bug needs squashed.

Third party equalizer apps will not work with an iPhone. Even though they sell it on Apple apps, iPhones will not let the music play due to DRM ISSUES. It is time to get rid of the iPhones.

  • Essential iOS Music Production Tool

I rate this app a must have for musicians. I run every final mixdown I do on iOS through Remaster, using a preset I created utilizing their separate L/R EQ option, with complementary cuts and bumps on opposite sides to widen the mix prior to mastering. It's just so great for this. I also use the compressor for a little sonic glue for mixes that come directly from GarageBand. Very handy, use it all the time!
