  • No way to quickly review learned content

    By Darren@Fremont
How do you learn a foreign language? To me the way is to go through the lesson once (may include additional focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation etc), then I would like to repeat the sentences learned in the lesson 3 or 5 times. The repeat/review part in the above description unfortunately is not something easily available in this app and this is what will stop my subscription (maybe after a few more tries) To clarify what I meant: after going through the lesson once, I would like the ability of quick playback of all the sentences learned in the lesson—the playback might be audio only so I would be able to listen while driving or hiking, preferably should allow quickly skipping sentences I already know, and get to the ones that I need to work on. As of now, from what I found by using the app in past couple of days, after learning a lesson, in case you need to repeat it, say, 5 times in order to master what you learned, the only way seems to be tapping through the lesson again. So if the lesson is 30 minutes, this is going to be very time consuming and very hard to focus on the few things you want to reinforce. Apart from the ability to quickly review learned content while driving/hiking, it would also be nice to provide the ability to print out all sentences from a lesson, which would make it possible, say, to glance at a printout while washing dishes. These are major limitations from a vendor who I suppose is a leader in language learning software so it is very disappointing.

  • Do you realize that iOS has a keyboard?

    By kinaleigh
I’m very disappointed to see that the writing lessons are completely missing from the mobile app. Now I have to switch back and forth between my laptop and my iPad. Since iOS includes robust keyboards, I fail to understand this shortcoming.

The lesson is so easy to understand. I found myself speaking Portuguese in the first fifteen minutes. I look forward to learning many more languages. Thank you Rosetta Stone. Cecilia

  • IOS app is bad

    By AmaDazzle
I couldn't even create an account. The app forces landscape orientation, and then takes up so much of the screen with keyboard that after the "first name" screen, you can't even see what it's asking for, and there's no way to scroll up to look. Went to the website hoping to sign up so I could just log in, but there you can't even sign up without paying an exorbitant fee. No thanks. I'll stick with Duolingo.

I’m actually understanding the app. Sometimes I’m a slow learner, but I’m understanding the pictures and how the Spanish language have different pronunciation for boy, girl, man, and woman.
