  • Made star gazing fun!

I had my grandma to show and teach me astronomy. She loved astronomy, and sharing her knowledge with youth. Tonight 4-2018, I couldn't help my kids with my grandmas wisdom. The three of them decided to search for an app to help with what they wanted to know. My oldest was back within minutes with an application to help get the answers. He dashed outside and took a picture, and within a moment, he had the answer. It was part of Canis Major. So my kids are more serious about astronomy than I thought! Because of this application! Thank you.

As a night photographer, it’s an amazing tool to know when the stars and moon are in my favor ahead of time! I use it every day!

  • Fails to work

I upgraded to the paid version and it fails to work. I have reset my phone trying to make it work. The free version was so nice so I decided to upgrade and it no longer works at all. It just opens to a frozen screen. Thanks a lot! Tons of fun! :(

Could you add a feature that lets you see planets beyond our solar system?
  • Just Plain Fun!

I love this app & if you enjoy staring at the sky at night, you will too. There’s nothing like sitting by the campfire stargazing. Beyond Orion’s Belt & the Big Dipper, there was little I could ID. SV ID’s constellations I didn’t know existed, shows the locations of all the planets & their moons, stars of distant galaxies, satellites & even jettisoned rocket engines tumbling around Earth’s orbit. I started w/ the free version but upgraded & am glad I did.
  • It was a great app, now useless

Stuck looking North. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and messed with all the settings. The view will not move based on where my phone is pointing. I have used this app for years with my son a now it’s worthless. iPhone X
  • Potentially a great app

The reason I have rated this app only one star is simply because the location guiding services is far from being accurate. For example, if you are trying to locate the ISS or Tiangong 1, the app is not accurate, it can be off as much as 90 degrees. I am not sure why this is the case as it uses the same location system in each iOS device, resulting in troublesome identification if you are not a seasoned or experienced astronomer. I like the app, but there is another app that provides real time accurate location of any object your may wish to observe. If you know how to locate the object in mind, I would rate the app much higher.
