  • Almost perfect.

This app desperately needs lock-screen notification controls. Other than that, Plex has absolutely changed how I watch media at home and when traveling forever. Thanks for making such a great app, and offering such an awesome service.

I wish it would allow to pick: drake & arists similar as a playlist. Or even scan open source playlists & combine things. Next, wish i could run my own radio or podcast station live via plex as well as listen to internet radio stations (& record like tune-in). Can you add nextcloud or partner w them? Get rid of the google & fb trackers too please.

Since the recent ios and tvos updates I can't watch any live tv. My Roku works fine but none of my apple devices will play live tv.

I want to like this app and the Plex server, I really do. After all I paid good money for both when first impressions/tests were good. Since then there have been many updates, and it has been more frustrating than usable. Having some experience debugging both software and network issues, I’ve spent way too much time trying to understand what this app is doing or rather failing to do, which causes it to frequently stall or not even connect to the server within our home network. Time I would have rather spent actually enjoying our media. My #1 complaint is that it stalls or buffers so much that it is unusable. Our LAN and all devices are plenty fast so congestion or speed of connectivity isn’t the problem. #2 WOW! This app calls home a lot. I think that might actually be the root of the problems. It even authenticates with an external service when all we want is for it to play local content. UI wise, it looks nice, but ultimately it needs to be able to play our content. For that we found MrMC, which is just superb and rock solid. Plus, MrMC seems to respect user privacy and rarely makes external requests... if ever. Regardless I keep revisiting this app to see if updates have made it more usable because the UI is nice, and because I paid so much for it. As of sept. 23, 2018, it still stalls on most content, while the same files play perfectly in MrMC.😑

  • Latest Update Unreliable

If you have to switch between servers or have other personal categories of media then this version, for me, does not work for selecting servers from the home screen (long press doesnt work on my ipad pro) and the library navigation is confusing for personal media categories (training videos one example for me) The earlier version was more reliable and logical
  • Was a 5 Star app, until recently

Recent changes have made this app confusing and frustrating to work with, especially with previously synced items, and ability to select a server to view, rather than “movie” and “tv show”. If the app worked as well as the server app did on my Mac, I’d give it a 5 star rating.
  • Useless on an IPad ....unless $$$

I have to be missing something somewhere. Server on PC. Check. organized and playback App on Roku devices. check. Stream like a dream App on iPad... WHAT? I can use the app for control but have to pay to stream to the iPad? Where did I miss that little pearl of information? App Store doesn’t say anything about it.. All other aspects of PLEX... 5 Stars Are we in a pi$$ing contest with Apple or what? Explain it and show me where I missed the IOS part and I’ll upgrade the rating...
  • iOS version of cast listed alphabetical order by first name rather than by top billing.

iOS version of the app lists the cast in alphabetical order by first name rather than by top billing. Other than that small gripe, this is the best solution for taking your media on the go.
  • Amazing!!

Honesty Plex is the best media app there is. Every purchase I make revolves around Plex. I bought an iPad again just so I can use it on a larger format than just my phone. Apple needs to thank them for driving business they're way. Thank you so much Plex developers for making such a great media experience!
