I like to add photos with each workout and they never load until way later. Very annoying as I like to share the photos with friends and family with my workout stats.

This app kept telling me I had waked 3.5 miles on a trail I know to be 2 miles. Today I had my boyfriend start a google walking app while I did this one so we could compare the results. Mine said we had walked 2.5 miles while his said 1.4 miles. My calories were over 400 burned. The google app said 182. I had the mapmywalk app synced to MyFitnessPal. So all my data from the last few months has been off. Beware and DONT USE THIS APP!

Routinely measures twice the actual distance walked. Latest version of app and iOS 11.4.1. Have deleted and reinstalled several times and followed tips in FAQ.
  • Watch app screws everything up

I really like the iPhone app - it’s really consistent and highly functional. But the watch app, which should be really useful, is just the opposite. 80% of the time it does nothing at all - meaning it doesn’t recognize that the phone app has started a walk. But on my last walk it “woke up” and seemed to be performing fine - until I paused my walk. After that when I resumed my walk, both the phone and the watch were frozen on the mileage I had at the pause. My advice: use the phone app, but don’t bother with the watch. I deleted it from my watch and the phone seems to be doing fine.
  • Keeps track for me

I like this app however it’s not keeping an accurate mile. I know where the mile markers are on my walk and this is saying I’m doing a mile about a half mile in.

The app does what I wanted- tells me how many miles I walked. I never got it to sink with my fitness pal, but it isn’t hard to put it into that app. I like that it gives me a map of where I walked.

It works well. You tap it to start, you tap and hold to stop. I've only ever used the function that tracks it for you. It's pretty dang accurate from comparing it to google maps so it works out well. Map my walk and map my fitness are literally the exact same thing (they even share their data) so it doesn't matter which you use or how you use it. Simple function, simple results. It's a nice app.
