  • Too much space!

By i care about storage space
I actually like this app, but suddenly it's taking up over a gig of space on my phone which is inexcusable. Deleted.
  • Many podcasts don’t load

    By MSD1282
This has been a great app for awhile, however I been having issues with podcasts failing to load and play. Looking elsewhere to stream podcasts and will not become a subscriber.
  • Recent Changes = Very Poor Result

    By Jamesj3111
Recent changes to the app have made is unusable! It freezes every time you select a function. I get so tired of restarting app, Im ready to switch. Development team responsible appear to have been asleep.
  • Ok, but form over function lately

    By Katy Fan
Case in point, it’s impossible to fast forward/ rewind with my adult fingers. Also the time labels are impossible to read under most conditions.
  • Awful

Many features don’t work. For example, doesn’t save episodes, doesn’t track episodes you have listened to, doesn’t restart episodes where you left off, doesn’t play next as requested and it crashes on a semi-frequent basis. Overall, a terrible app. The only reason I have this app is to get access to content only available through Stitcher. If there was ANY other option, I would take it. I’ve never had so many problems with an app.
  • Subscription Trick

    By LEGustafson
Heads up, be very careful if you are doing a month trial. They will automatically charge you for an annual subscription at the end of it. I canceled mid month but apparently it didn’t go through and they charged me for the whole year and will not refund.
  • Good Service, Clunky App

    By Mizener
I paid for Stitcher Premium mainly to access the Comedy Bang Bang full archive. At $34.99 for 13 months, this feels like a great deal. I love the ability to download episodes to my phone for offline play, which is a must-have feature for me. However the app feels difficult and unintuitive to use, and sometimes it freezes.
  • Used to be good.

    By Rogdent!!!
I used to like this app but it’s become unusable after the last update. Can’t leave well enough alone. Or maybe you’ve got to go premium to make it work as well as other free apps.
  • Take your sign in and shove it

    By See you cowboy
Plenty of apps that do not require me to create an account. I can visit the website of and pod i want to listen to for free. You can show me ads but why force me to log in? Like I want to manage another account for this app
  • Best podcast app I’ve tried

    By cat_named_percy
I maybe get why people dislike Stitcher. I can’t find some of the podcasts on it that I can find with other podcatchers, and I would like to subscribe to some feeds from Patreon, but... no, actually, I have no idea why people dislike Stitcher so much. I recently spent a few days trying the top rated podcast apps by various tech sites, and in the end I’ve come back to Stitcher. I spend about 4-5 hours a day listening to podcasts, and Stitcher is the only one that consistently works; my podcasts play continuously and they don’t stop randomly in the middle. Also, nothing beats their organization/playlist system. The closest I came was Overcast, but I couldn’t easily get from an individual episode page to the podcast page to listen to back episodes, which is vital to me as I listen to a lot of serialized and narrative podcasts (you have to start from the beginning). Apple podcasts also made the journey from individual episode to episode list too long and complicated, as well as just randomly stopping in the middle of a podcast six or seven times today and finally refusing to open, merely crashing as soon as I tap the icon. In addition, I (as a broke grad student) appreciate that the app is free to use, with an optional [affordable] membership for expanded services, etc. So I give them 4 stars, and they could get that fifth if they offered all the podcast options of some other apps and allowed the user to subscribe to feeds by URL. I will continue to use Stitcher anyway, because it’s the app with the best/easiest functionality and I’ve had a positive experience so far in the months I’ve been using it! I look forward to the developer making continuing improvements and, in the mean time, great job, Stitcher! (PS “Levar Burton Reads” is a collaboration between him and Stitcher, so they are MOST CERTAINLY doing something right! Kudos!)
