The ultimate NYC transit app, featuring realtime arrival info plus subway and bus directions, service advisories, timetables, push alerts, walking maps, and station entrance/exit data. • Live train times let you seen exactly when your train will arrive. (Only for MTA lines with countdown clocks: currently the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Times Sq Shuttle.) • Easy step-by-step directions mean you always know the fastest route. Subway directions even work offline underground! • System advisories, including background updating so you always have the latest information. • See train schedules for any station at any time of day • Use Street Map mode to see bus stations and bus times • Get push alerts for delays, customized for your route and commute time • See subway lines, stations, entrances, and exits overlaid on a street map • Browse the latest service advisories even while offline • See your Current Location with a tap; get walking directions to nearby stations • Beautiful graphics, including high-resolution maps for the Retina display • Review line diagrams to see stations, transfers, and express/local timing • Search for stations with a few taps Remember: the New York subway is a complex system and can't follow the timetables perfectly. The MTA timetables are included for guidance only. This app is for the MTA New York City subway and bus system, and features a licensed MTA map. • Looks like it's been abandoned

    By Droppin NYC
More than a week without alert updates (when it would have been helpful), stories of emails sent to support rejected... sounds like someone just decided they made their $$ on what was the best subway map program and split. Will probably be a great map to use for a few more months, but I'm shaking my head - I feel suckered.
  • Does this app still work?

    By Rangerx_
Update: I emailed iTrans asking as to what’s going on. My email was returned as undeliverable. I guess they’re done. It’s a shame because iTrans NYC had functionality which I can’t find anywhere else. Previous review: As of today all trains are marked as out of service, and it certainly is not the case. The app is unusable as it stands.

This app has been amazing in years past, but it hasn’t seen a major update in a very long time and seems to currently be broken. Emails to the support address are now bouncing, and it appears the server that runs their service diversion alerts is offline as well. For $4 this is still a decent navigation app, but some core features are broken and I wouldn't hold my breath about them being fixed. I tried to report this to iTunes, but they don't much of a system in place for reporting broken apps.
  • What happened?!

    By Sun Deevah
This app used to be amazing for years, but, as of now, push notifications haven’t worked in over a week, and when I emailed support my message was bounced back. It seems to me if the app is no longer going to be supported customers would be informed in an update. People don’t pay money for an app because they don’t need it. Way to lose a customer.
  • Best NYC train app (RIP)

    By Deepboyce
This app got me through college and the years thereafter. Great at helping me plan my trips around NYC. Absolutely pivotal in last minute changes as well. Sad to see this app deprecate, will search for an alternative, but I doubt anything will come close to being this useful. Many thanks to the person/team behind this as you helped me learn the ins and outs of the NYC subway.
  • Incredible App

Revised Review: My original review is below. It now (1-15-2018) appears that the company is NOT SUPPORTING the app. Subway schedules are not working causing the trip planning not to work. The app is now only a NYC subway map. Email sent to the company comes back undeliverable. Are they even in business? Do NOT get this app until it is working like it did awhile back. Very sad! Original Review: I bought this when I moved to NYC eight years ago. It has become my FAVORITE app! Although I now know the subways well, I also use it for schedules, local maps and venturing into areas of the city I do not know well. I use it almost every day and HIGHLY recommend it!
  • Used to love it just stopped working

    By Jlee8806
Up until a week or so ago I lived this app. And then it just stopped working. All the service announcements are over a week old and it says that all the lines are out of service. I've tried everything I can think of including contacting the support (my message bounced, said it couldn't be delivered) and deleting and redownloading the app.
  • No More Service Updates

    By MarysaLynn
There’s no more service updates as of a week ago, developer’s mailbox is full so no info on updates, and it seems this app is done. It’s a shame, this was the best subway map.
  • No longer supported

    By TonyGrund
This app is no longer supported. The trains all say “not in service,” and the latest service updates were over a week ago. It’s still a good subway map, but that’s it. All the other services have sadly died.
  • Data not updating

    By Penelopebeach
I’ve had this app for a long time. For the last week, or refuses to update any train time schedules or advisories. I’m disappointed.
