  • Still no background play option?

    By 3855312799432
Seriously? The YouTube app allows background play option if you pay the subscription fee. So why does the YouTube TV app not allow it? We are paying for the subscription. It would kinda be nice to check an email or check a text message and still have the show keep playing.
  • Discovery/Viacom and BTN

    By Tbarnz8853219
Would be 5 if they had Discovery (Scripps) and Viacom Also, when you use the BTN game finder it shows games on the Alt channel available through YTTV, but then the games don’t appear on YTTV and the customer support has no idea why
  • Love YouTube TV

    By DaveH72
I love the fact that I can get The Fox network with Youtube TV. My only complaint is that I can’t connect my YouTube TV on my 3-4 year old Visio Smart TV.
  • $40 a month for commercials

    By Fire12344321
Pay $40 a month and your “DVR” has 8 commercials per break you are required to watch. Vue and DTV are real DVRs. I want a refund for this overpriced junk.
  • Persistent deficiencies not fixed over time

    By James Nachbar
YouTube TV is a great service, but it is only accessible via its app and website, so the quality of the app is critical. First, and perhaps most annoying as it has been reported for months and has not been fixed, there is no way to find the recently recorded shows. The sort of shows should not only be alphabetical and reverse alphabetical, but should also be sortable by recency of the latest recording. Almost as important, when you look at the list of recorded episodes for a given show, the oldest are on top, the most recent in the middle, and upcoming airings after that. That might make sense for some shows (which would be watched in series order) but it makes no sense for news and talk shows, where the most recent is probably what you are looking for. Again, there should at least be an option to sort the most recent recordings on top. Also, usually at the end of watching a show, you cannot watch another show from the same channel without first changing to a different channel first. Until then, the finished show remains visible and will not change (this may only be when you are watching via Apple TV). Finally, when watching on an iPhone, you have to use landscape mode to be able to double click to advance without hitting one of the buttons, but if you do, you can’t slide the scrubber without invoking an app moving gesture because the scrubber is so low on the screen in landscape mode. Nonetheless, this is a great service, and would be much better with a better app. I look forward to seeing it improved!
  • Pricey

I might as well pay for a cheap cable package
  • Streaming is great. Needs some design tweaks

    By kennythomas
The streaming works better than sling and fubo. However, there is no channel guide for what to watch in the future. A grid setup would be nice. Also disappointed you don’t carry NFL network. The performance of the base product is good but you have to step up your game, YouTube.
  • No functional TV Guide?

    By RealTampaTraveler
Why can they not optimize the guide to show more that the current program time?
  • Good as long as you aren’t a sports fan

    By Ross3201
This is great as long as you aren’t a sports fan. With cable, we watched every one of our MLB teams game. With YouTube TV we match maybe 1/3 of them. Games are often blacked out, or the channel isn’t available. You get the NFL games that are on network TV, but not Thursday games.
  • Guide issues

You can’t scroll forward in time to see what’s coming up.
