  • Really, really great.

Sometimes I’m not so busy, but I’m still organized to the dot. I like all the focus views specially the year view, which by the way, some apps are missing. Yeah sure, some wrinkles here and there but they will be taken care of, like the badge displaying today’s date sometimes it does not sync until I use the app. Great job guys.

Own it option going away!!! ... I could be wrong, but that tells me that "own it" users are not renewing. I know I didn't. I keep an eye on Informant for nostalgic reasons, it served me well for more than a decade and a half, across numerous devices, but I moved on quite some time ago. Version 5 has had, and continues to have way too many issues not being addressed, and I couldn't justify the (on-going) high cost. I know the developer will "ding" me for not raising specific problems and will point out all the releases this year. It's not worth my time spelling out what others have already said in other reviews. Bottom line, each release solved a few problems, AND introduced others! When I weigh the cost, the things that do work, the things that don't, the loss of features from previous version, etc. etc. Informant 5 comes out a 1 star app in my opinion. Others will have their own ideas, but that doesn't invalidate mine. I sincerely wish Fanatic Software the best. Maybe a future version will woo me back, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
  • Excellent productivity tool

    By Six Sigma BB
I have been using Informant for years for both my professional and personal productivity tools. I currently have 4000 plus completed tasks which are instantaneously searchable. I manage my journal, business notes with it synchronized with Evernote with over 1000 notes in history. I manage 1200 plus contacts with the contact tool and manage all of my many events with the calendar. Where else can you get all of this in one tool? I have used a number of tools that have done some of these functions very well but I have found none that have handled them all as well as this package does across all of my electronic medium including MacBook, iPhone, iPad Pro and Apple Watch.

Captured by an endless advertising loop for their latest incarnation of this abomination, I had been perfectly happy with the previous version which they sabotaged. Of course they offered a ‘fix’, but ONLY IF YOU SYNC WITH A COMPUTER, MORONS; SOME OF US ONLY USE TABLETs and are CLOUD DEPENDENT. Therefore I downloaded the latest unsolicited version to salvage my data and move on to another organizer written by a developer not so clever in their marketing schemes.
  • App description is inadequate.

A syncing subscription?! Laughable. Like charging for the air you breath.
  • There is not a better calendar app

    By MarcusTheTruth
This is is by far the best and most useful calendar app on the app store. It has so many features and functions that will help organize your work and life. I have tried ALL of them and this is by far superior than the others. Only downfall is a HUGE downfall. On the Macbook its a $50 dollar app. Holy jeeeezus!!!
  • Love it!!

I’ve been using Informant for several years and love it!
  • Nag screens interrupt work flow - “please rate us!” OK - one star for you!

    By SJU87
Nag screens interrupt work flow - “please rate us!” OK - one star for you! Kudos to the dev for responding to this post. No increase in stars because they said, “If you are using the free version of the application there will be screens come up occasionally asking for feedback...” I am not using the free version, I am paying the full price (be warned, it is now a subscription model which those of us who have used it since it was on our Palm Pilots hate)
  • Somethings I like, Somethings I hate

    By Rod2526
Obviously there are some good things with this app, but the negatives prevent me from resubscribing. Here's what this app needs and I know it can be done because my app of choice, Calengoo has most of these features: 1. Nagging alarms for events and tasks (yes calengoo has this) 2. More detailed week agenda view (yes calengoo has a far superior week agenda view) 3. Tasks on Apple Watch complication (Fantastical has this) Add these things and I subscribe for year. Until then staying with Calengoo

.... before you shell out money to buy a subscription with the anticipation of bug fixes and enhancements to come. A recent blog post indicates that the founding developer has left the company & the other developer’s focus is on the Mac version.
