  • Bait and switch

Bait and switch would be accurate.
  • Map not usable

    By Tapajp
Could not even zoom enough before it demanded an upgrade. It doesn’t give me a chance to even discover if I like the app in order to upgrade.
  • Not worth the $0.99

    By Poeieot
Advertising is deceptive. Only thing this app offers with no strings is the "crime compass". Unable to use the map for any reasonable amount of time (mine seemed to shut off within a minute of use).
  • Garbage

No specific crime info. No dates. No sex offender info. Just colors and some unknown rating system compared to “national average”. As if I’m expecting to compare Queens to some BFE suburb in North Dakota. Dear developers, Stop making apps. Your not good at it. Especially ones involving public safety & awareness.
  • It’s the positive reviews that lie

You can download and see for yourself within seconds that you shouldn’t have wasted your time. The paid app is not cheap so I thought I’d check out the lite version. After about 5 seconds it told me the ability to use the map was a paid feature. Then I realized most of the functionality is only for the people that pay the hefty price tag. Don’t bother with this one.
  • Completely useless

All this app does is prompt you to purchase the paid version. It is absolutely worthless, and I'm not sure why it should even exist.
  • Useless

Need to give some free features to see if it is worth paying
  • Totally useless!

Does nothing but pop up to tell you what you can't do. Unusable.
  • Works for me

    By PianoMan10110
For a free app, this is especially clean. No ads or other nonsense. Easy to use in Crime Compass mode to stay aware of the safety of your surroundings. If I travel, I will probably upgrade for the ability to search crime levels throughout the US in detail. Very well written app!
  • Warning of bad reviewers

    By Illojical
Normally don't review but felt the need to offset the previous review. There's no bait and switch, and pretty sure Apple doesn't let an app "trick" someone into buying something. It does ask me for my password if I'm not signed in to my apple id, presumably to figure out what I've purchased if anything.
