  • Good Content, Poorly Designed App

+ Great content - Still isn't optimized for iPhone X - Navigating through seasons is a clunky experience and discovering new content is a chore. This app is most useful if the user knows exactly what they want-- a race to escape the UI and reach the content in fullscreen.

Like going to “All Shows” and using the “Date Added” filter and I get the back log of shows. I mean really? Come on, fix that stuff.

The most poorly optimized app I have used on the app store. Not worth paying for a subscription.
  • It used to be completely ad free

I’ve been a premium subscriber for around a year or two, everything was as it was stated with the premium subscription, it was ad free, I get back on today and I get advertisement before the video and see ad breaks between the video, keep in mind the price of the subscription, around $6, I’m now considering unsubscribing due to this incident, and I have made sure I was signed in by signing out and signing back in as it was worded in the FAQ form.

Tried to watch latest episode of Dragon Ball Super, but this asinine app wont play past episode 26. It won’t let me scroll past episode 26. I even tried using the > next episode button, but it says something went wrong. I tried skipping to the end of the video and pressing play > next episode and I get the same error message. This subscription is such a rip off if we can’t even view its content. I’m going to watch the episode on YouTube since it actually works. I hope your anime studios and content distributors know how much you’re failing them.

I love funimation and the anime they release. They’ve been a big part of my life and becoming who I am (yes, I learn morals from stories). By only complaint is that there isn’t subtitles for the English dubs. This hurts my heart. I don’t have the best hearing and turning up the volume that loud is bothersome as well. Music is loud, but I can mid dialogue which is why I rely on subtitles at all times. I’m sad it’s not an option and I don’t think it’d be asking that much. I don’t really understand why it’s not available.
  • I can’t make an account.

I’m confused. I’m trying to make an account but every time I put in a password it says “Password must contain a special character”. Wth

You guys make a skip intro/ theme song system like Netflix. That’s the only thing missing for me otherwise I’m happy with what it has to offer.

I just bought a subscription on the site and downloaded the app to continue watching Attack on Titan 2. The app loads, shows you an animation and keeps you on a purple screen forever. VRV by crunchyroll launched an update for performance a few days ago, this app has not been updated since january 2017! Cancelling my subscription right now.

The audio is terrible. Almost half of the anime seasons I’m watching was English. But then it turned to Japanese now I can’t watch it anymore I don’t understand why they changed it. I really want tot watch it in English. Can someone help me? Why can’t I change it back to English? One piece is terrible in Japanese 😭😭😭
