  • Amazing

I love hat it tells u whether or not u have to redo the lesson or not. The only thing that I would change is the fact that u have to pay to continue.
  • App overview!

    By Jessiesays
I enjoy using this app! I am beginning to teach myself Japanese and I’m starting off with Hiragana first. I love how it’s broken down into Hiragana-and has lessons with using Hiragana. Also, with Katana it has the lessons to go along with each specific part! I also use this with my daughter so she can listen and follow along as well!!! This has helped me so much and I will be purchasing the full bundle in order to have access to everything within the app! I need to invest in getting some hiragana and katana writing practice sheets to work on my writing (currently using two notebooks) one for vocabulary and grammar! I would recommend anyone to get this app and see if you like it! It’s great for beginners in addition to the other Japanese learning apps that I have I’m learning at a very fast rate with the hiragana so far! Love, love, love it!!!
  • Great way to start your kana learning

    By Kurisu tinu
It’s great way to memorize your kana. It’s quick and can fit these bite size lessons into a busy schedule.. which I love. I only wish the app had a way of reviewing the kana that I Most frequently get wrong.
  • Writing Kanji

    By marichards
This app would be perfect if there was a way to learn to write kanji in it. When taught hirigana and katakana we were taught stroke order and how to write it but with kanji we just have to remember it without every learning all the strokes :/// I love the app otherwise, i’d pay $20 for it if i could just learn kanji the same way it teaches hirigana and katakana.
  • Gives you the exact info in the order you need it

I’ve been using duolingo for a week and got frustrated with the lack of explanations. This app filled in the blanks for me perfectly.
  • Family sharing doesn’t share the full version

    By CptYossarian
It only shares exactly the same thing everyone else gets for free. Effectively it does nothing. It is completely misleading to say this app has family sharing.
  • Great learning tool

Have learned all hiragana and katakana in 3weeks.
  • Great customer service!

This review is based on me using an iPad 6 with Apple Pencil. This is a great app, it teaches you the sound of each letter and how to write it, which is a fast way to learn Japanese if you’re consistent with it. There are a few technical errors when it comes to the writing but after sending a message about the errors they sent me a message the next day asking me details about the problem so they can fix it. I gave this 5 stars because the one problem I did see with it, they were on top of contacting me wanting to fix the issue. So seeing that shows me they have a good team working on this app, giving me more faith in this app.
  • げんき!

I really enjoy the app so far. I am learning symbols quickly. Over time it tells you to review previously learned sections, and that is perfect to me!
  • I could just buy a real textbook

    By Arc Angel 13
To really use this app, you have to buy stuff. Just buy a Japanese textbook or classes with that money. If you’re like me, you can listen to Japanese people talk, and know enough to get you by in Japan, and I’m a kid. So we will probably just get me classes instead.
