  • 15 seconds back/forward

    By John mcfap
The app is pretty great but, when you’re trying to go back only a couple of seconds to maybe watch a particular part again it gets difficult. A scroll back/ forward 15 seconds button would be amazing!
  • Lacklustre 2.0 Rerelease

    By PokemonDesigner
First off I would like to say that the app in its current state has so much potential to be absolutely amazing but it’s missing a huge number of key features that would really seal the deal on 2.0 being better than 1.0 was. I never really used 1.0 because I installed it and it was horrible to even try to use but from what I have read it looks like you removed features from 1.0 to 2.0 which just doesn’t make any sense to me. It looks like you removed both AirPlay support as well as video minimising which neither really make all that much sense to me personally. AirPlay, while not as dire, is a really nice feature that seems like it would only stand to make 2.0 a stunning app. The minimising video is a bit more concerning as that allows users to spend more time curating their upcoming watches. As for features that seem to be no brainers that are missing are things like “double tap to seek”, the ability to swipe between pages, an easy to access watchlist, and a page for new videos from only your favourited series’ are just a few that come to the top of my head. I appreciate the attempt at making your mobile app better but it seems more like a swing and a miss in my personal opinion.
  • Better layout for iPad

    By mattcellis
I would love an actual full screen landscape mode for iPad. Th3 current one leaves a lot of dead area around the video
  • Why is there no channel separation?

    By blah132465
The new layout looks great but I really don’t like having to scroll through all the videos I would never watch from channels I’m not a fan of to find the videos I do want to watch. I know there is a drop down menu but I think it’d be better if each channel had its own page that you could swipe to rather than the menu like the Xbox app
  • App has come a long way!

    By Kuraya
I’m as huge and long-time rooster teeth fan, since 2003 and have been a sponsor/first member for 10 years now. But my god, I disliked the previous mobile apps so much. I would only use it to listen to the post-shows of podcasts but nothing else. This one is far and away better than the previous apps and I actually use this more than YouTube and the website. Seriously, thank you guys for updating this! My only request is to be able to download videos for First members. This is the only thing keeping me from watching content on your platform 100% of the time since I download videos on YouTube Red for my subway commute. Otherwise, I use your mobile app, website, and Apple TV app for every thing else. Thank you for 15 years of content!
  • Can’t become member

    By Hanibalthelector
I’ve subscribed and my account says I subscribed on iTunes however does not reflect that on my rooster teeth account. I can’t watch anything and so no point. 0/10 thankfully it is easy to cancel the subscription.
  • Almost able to use chromecast.

    By MrsREO
Big improvement being able to watch posted vids on TV, but Still no ability to send live content to chromecast. Android TV app would be even better, but that’s a whole different project. Searching for something should DEFINITELY apply some form of auto sorting automatically. For instance, most of the time when I search for Glitch Please I want to see the most recent episode, but who knows where in the list it’ll appear.
  • Newest layout changes a step backwards

    By NotZal
The newest changes to the layout make it much harder to view content from a single creator at a time. Feels much more like I’m being forced to scroll through content from other creators that I don’t want to watch.
  • Good content. App needs work.

    By murph012
Ever since the 2.1.0 update I have been getting constant buffering. My internet is not the best but I’ve never had this before. YouTube works fine but this app for some reason does. I’d also like better organization of videos. It seems like since the last interface change there’s no easy way to get to specific series.
  • Missing features, especially for the watchlist

    By crimsonrain158
The app has been vastly improved recently, and I'd like to switch over from primarily using YouTube as my mobile viewing platform for RT content, both because I pay for FIRST and would like a seamless viewing experience between shows like Always Open+Still Open and Off Topic+Last Call, and because of the various issues with YouTube supporting content creators, but unfortunately the app is just not there yet. The watchlist in particular needs a LOT of work—there's an ability to add series to your watchlist, which I assumed would cause new episodes to be added to the Episode tab of the watchlist as they're added to series on the Series watchlist. This isn't the case as of this review, and I'd really like to see it added as a feature. Even when adding episodes to the watchlist manually, there are only options to sort videos by Title (A to Z) and Title (Z to A). Without options to sort by Date Uploaded or Date Added to Watchlist, the app falls far short of the functionality I was hoping for. I'll be sticking with YouTube viewing for now but I hope the watchlist will receive some updates soon.
