  • Still can’t ChromeCast

    Not quite sure what’s happening here...going on a year and a half with this app and STILL having playback issues with ChromeCast devices. I’ve used the RT app on both Android and iOS platforms with the same issue of playback being choppy and unwatchable so it’s absolutely on Rooster Teeth’s end. It’s apparent to me the devs do not care to make this app a complete working package but they sure do make sure to keep those ads working pushing us to the RT Store 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 This is so easily a non issue it’s incredible. Keep cast functionality in and fix it, or get rid of it. More money on the platform we’re forced to use to see all of our favorite creators content and less on acquiring new “talent” please.

    I love this app because it contains all of my favorite shows like RWBY and Camp Camp, But RT can you pls put subtitles so that some other countries can understand what they are saying because my cousin cannot speak in English and she is trying to understand what they are saying at the new episode of RWBY Chibi and she is use to watching the series at YouTube and it have subtitles in it but I do understand why you stopped posting the new episodes on YouTube because I know YouTube is killing you and stuff, but pls add subtitles. That’s all ❤️

    As I'm sure most RT fans are aware, they're starting to move away from YouTube and are recommending that people watch content on their site or this app, especially in terms of animation as both Camp Camp and RvB are RT site/app exclusive now. Fair enough, I know YouTube has demonetized a good amount of their series. The problem lies in that whenever I try to tap/click on a series and then a season, the videos just...don't show up. There's no thumbnail, no description, nothing. I've seen this with both RvB and Always Open, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are other series affected. Both of those are open to all members regardless of FIRST membership, so what gives? It could just be an issue with my iPad, but considering my friend (who is a FIRST member) is having the same problem, it might not be. Either way, I hope RT works on this quickly. I want to support them, but I can't do that if I can't watch the videos meant to support them.

    This app is far better than the old one and I use it constantly. The addition of background play was step 1 to making sure I watch RT content solely on this app. Now it just needs to let me choose video quality and skip X amount of seconds forward or backward with either buttons or tapping and I’ll be as giddy as a schoolgirl. Maybe let me minimize the video but still play so I can browse other content, but do the other things first.

    I love how easy it is to access the RT site through the app. I enabled notifications so I would not be able to miss videos. However, I did not know that I would get multiple notifications for a single video. I usually get 20 notifications for one video and no notifications for any other videos.

    I believed there was an update where you could play videos with your screen off. Just like it use to before. Now they are adding features while not bringing in ones they already promised. Without the screen off function makes it hard to listen to them while I’m working or driving and yes I’m a first member. Logged in as a first member, have been forever. Still the function just doesn’t work.
  • One minor iPad problem

    Hey, devs! This app is almost really great, but for one minor issue. In order to really understand it, you’ll have to see it. So grab an iPad, log in, and watch a video in landscape mode. It HAS to be an iPad. For further reproducibility, I’m running a 9.7 Pro right now. The issue is the white bar at the top. If there's a way to make it go away, I can’t find it. You won’t get this issue on an iPhone, either; I logged in and checked. And yes, to all those other folks out there that hate this issue, I don’t like it either, but the app does run perfectly fine on an iPhone, so I’m giving it four stars anyway. So to potential downloaders: if you’re watching solely on an iPhone, have fun! If you’re using an iPad, this may be a deal-breaker for you.

    The app is great from what I can tell but my one problem is that I don’t get any of the notifications I’m supposed to get. Can’t figure out how to possibly fix it either

    I’ve watched RvB for 6 years now but, never would I have found all these other great shows. The app is organized and the video quality is great. Over all awesome app.
